Ida Gyllensten is a Swedish actress and singer trained at the Drama Centre London, and additionally at the Stockholm National Academy. Her moving portrayal of Magdalena in the acclaimed TV-series End of Summer has garnered international attention. The Guardian hailed the character and the complex and hurtful mother-daughter relationship as one of the highlights of the series. With a unique ability to portray deep and emotionally charged roles and strong female portraits, Ida has a broad background in film and TV, combined with a passion for telling stories that touch the heart.

In addition to her role in End of Summer, Ida Gyllensten has also appeared in Thin Blue Line (s.1) where she gives a strong portrayal of a woman who loses her child and her father in an attack. She also plays the title role in Henrik Möller's award-winning The Demon, a performance that was praised by Fredrik Strage in Nyhetsmorgon.

Ida releases music with her band Dreaming of Islands.
